Orientation
CTP is a vibrant research centre, funded by the UGC, carrying out research of international quality. It is widely recognized as an important research centre of India. The Centre currently focuses on Cosmology and High Energy Physics. The aim of the Centre is to be at the forefront of research, bringing together particle physicists, cosmologists and astrophysicists within a unique interdisciplinary culture.
As of now (2024), 36 students have completed their Ph.D. from the Centre. In the past, after finishing their Ph.D., students have joined post-doctoral research at various places including

Students who are in a mature stage of Ph.D., generally make international visits to various research institutes, and attend several national and international conferences, apart from publishing papers in quality international research journals.
